Cars4Vets Inc. is a non-profit organization here to help the homeless transitioning veterans reestablish their role in society by equipping them with the reliable transportation needed to locate and maintain gainful employment and education. We deliver a "Hand Up" not a "Hand Out". At the same time, cleaning up the community of all junk, broken down and unwanted vehicles.
Our Goal
Our goal is to ensure every veteran has the proper transportation needed to perform their daily responsibilities and activities. Whether fully functional or handicapped, we can equip our veterans with their transportation needs. Your gift will help Cars4Vets Inc. to insure our veterans of a positive future. By supplying our veterans with a vehicle you are putting hope back into the hearts of our heroes.
Cars4Vets Inc. does not promote junk yards or irresponsible use or waste of hazardous materials. Neither do we sell, buy, auction or trade vehicles. What makes Cars4Vets Inc. so unique is when you donate your vehicle, at the end of the processing you can shake the hand of the veteran you just helped. 100% of your donation means 100% of your donation goes to helping a veteran in your community. Our future goal is to have a veteran organization adopt and apply our idea and information to begin a Voc-Rehab Program for veterans to become either mechanically aware of their vehicle or successfully obtain an ASE certification in the Automotive Industry.
What We Do
Cars4Vets Inc. accepts donated vehicles and other items in exchange for a tax deduction receipt. Vehicles such as: cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles are repaired if applicable and issued to qualified veteran of a transitional program. Vehicles such as: boats, golf carts, ATV's, campers, motor homes and planes are raffled off at the next up coming event. Non-repairable vehicles are recycled not junked and all proceeds are used towards obtaining parts and repairs for the applicable vehicles.

Vehicles are evaluated by their parts expense. If the cost of the part(s) is less than 25% of the vehicles Kelly Blue Book value then the vehicle is deemed repairable. Parts are ordered and the necessary repairs are made before issuing the vehicle in operating order according to DMV and DOT rules and regulations.
If the cost of the part(s) is more than 25% of the vehicles Kelly Blue Book value, then the vehicle is deemed non-serviceable and is transported to a local recycling facility, not a junk yard. The proceeds from the recycled unit are used to purchase the part(s) for the repairable vehicles. All vehicles must be assessed and able to be repaired in 5 days or it's considered non-serviceable and sent to the recycling facility.
At the same time, Cars4Vets is cleaning up the neighborhoods of unwanted eyesores and possible environmental and safety hazards.
Currently (since July of 2009) Cars4Vets has collected 46 vehicles and regifted 37 of them.
